RESIDENTIAL
PROJECT
For this assignment I was tasked with remodeling a one-bedroom apartment. The client wished to open up the small kitchen to the living area to create a more open-plan environment. Existing appliances are reused but the cabinetry has been replaced. In addition, the study became a second bedroom with a closet. All doors were replaced. All windows are replaced with windows the same size previously used. All the sheets for this project were created by hand drafting. Photoshop was used to insert images on the cover page.

For this assignment, I designed a floor plan of a men’s and women’s restroom. The women’s has three toilet stalls, one of which is ADA, two sinks, and a baby changing station. The men’s has two urinals and a toilet, all of which are ADA compliant, along with two sinks and a baby changing station. I also drew an elevation of the primary wet wall of the women’s restroom. All drawings at ½” scale.

STAIR
SECTION
For this assignment I recreated a stair section provided by my professor at ½” scale. I included all labels using 1/8” high letters. I created depth in this drawing by using different line weights to represent plane changes. Through this assignment I gained better understanding of how a staircase is built and all the intricate details within a staircase.
